Daniel Parker
Daniel ParkerDaniel Parker is the former Director of the Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network, a network of five conservation centers and 350+ partners working to get kids outdoors and create the next generation that cares. He has been a public servant in the environment or education fields for over 25 years and is an award-winning writer, graduating from Florida State University and spending time in Russia, Japan, England, Canada, and Central America. He has a master's in urban planning and was a six-year Planning Commissioner for the Tallahassee-Leon County Planning Commission. He was a two-time candidate for public office and has a continued interest in preserving the integrity and necessity of public service. He lives with his wife and kids in Tallahassee, Florida. His eighth book, Preacher's Mountain, was released December 2021. His ninth book, Rickey Baseball, is scheduled to be published in the fall of 2024. You'll find Daniel with a nose in a book, at the movies, or walking in the woods.
